I employ helpful strategies tailored to each individual student's needs. My content areas are English language arts & reading 4-8, and technology applications EC-12. I feel that technology incorporated into this critical academic discipline builds experience for learners of all ages to apply in real-world examples. I am a parent of 4 children, and I use these exact same strategies when helping with homework and school projects.

I have an extensive background in writing in preparation for my master's in education. My training introduced me to several strategies on improving students writing and reading skills. Each student learns differently and it determines necessary techniques to aid reading and writing skills. I feel that reading and writing is essential to academic success and my love for language arts makes me a perfect fit to tutor anyone struggling in the area of language arts and reading.
My degree emphasis was in the are of K-12 instructional technology. I am willing to utilize technology to its fullest potential with educational applications and resources. I have used Second Life and various rich media types to improve instruction and build student's interest. My certification areas complement each other in that technology is incorporated in learning. Technology's ever-changing status is assurance that the future of education and the way we live our daily lives will become more evolved with the use of technology.
