I am very patient and have a clear understanding of the topics that I teach. My greatest skill is being able to diffuse the stress around math and science and make the concepts relevant to my students' life.
When I was in high school I was a competitive mathlete and varsity tennis player for 4 years. I also worked as a tennis coach for 3 years, eventually landing me a spot on the University of Rochester tennis team. I earned my bachelors in Biomedical Optics, with minors in mechanical engineering and applied math while taking several graduate level courses I continued my education to earn a master's in technical entrepreneurship and management which is a joint program between the business school and the engineering school.
In terms of standardized tests, I scored a 790 out of 800 on the the Math SAT 1 and SAT 2 and a 98 on the ASVAB's (didn't get commissioned because I had asthma).
Recreationally I am a licensed skydiver, SCUBA diver, and traceur and I can explain how math and science concepts have been relevant to these experiences as well.
