I love and enjoy working with all aspects of the English language. Working with individual students provides me with the opportunity to examine the unique writing styles of each and address the variety of difficulties an English student may face. Regarding my experience, I taught English Mechanics and Composition at a Christian high school during the 2010-11 school year. Last year I enrolled as a full-time graduate student in Rice University's Masters in Teaching Program. (My curriculum focused upon Language Arts, grades 8-12.) I currently work as a substitute teacher for three separate schools. In addition, I have always had a talent for standardized tests, scoring an 800 on both the verbal and writing portions of the SAT. I am an approachable and patient person, and I believe I am adept at finding the most appropriate teaching method for each student I meet.
