My name is Cassandra and I am a very devoted educator, who has taught Summer School for a session. My background is very strong in finance and I have worked for several years in Private Industry. However, I have completed the Teacher Service Training through Region 4 in 2008. My accepted subject areas were EC-4, 6-12. Business Courses and English as a Second Language (ESL). I do have a certificate for this completed training. I did teach a session of Summer School at Valley West Elementary School, which completed my 30-field hours for the service training. This session was for 4th and 5th grade Language Arts and Math Students. I have excellent reading, writing and presentation skills and a strong background in math. I am committed to "Striving for Excellence" and I feel that each student should be given a chance to obtain the best education possible. I am committed to teaching and preparing students for College and a Brighter Future. I work for the City of Houston as a Management Analyst III, and prior to that I worked at Rice University as a Department Coordinator, in Civil Engineering for 8-years. I have a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, 2008 and a Master of Education, in Adult Education/Administration, from Jones International University, 2010/conferred 2011. Teaching has always been my passion. I believe in using tools for teaching strategies to assist my students in their learning process.
