Hi,

I have tutored children of many different ages over the past 14 years, primarily in reading, writing, math, and SAT prep. I currently work on developing math curricula for grades 2-6 and also have 2 years of experience teaching kindergarten (all subjects) through Teach for America. Elementary (K-6th)

I am certified to teach EC-6 in Texas, spent 2 years teaching kindergarten, developed a language arts curriculum for kinder, and worked for 2 years as a math curriculum developer for grades 2-6. I have tutored math, reading, and writing for grades 2-9.

Phonics

I was trained in phonics instruction by TFA. I taught phonics for 2 years and planned the phonics component for the grade level for 1 year. I took various professional development courses on phonics instruction through Neuhaus.

Video Production

I have a B.A. in film studies and focused on production and criticism. My M.A. is in TV, Radio, and Film and I focused on screenwriting and film business. I know how to use the Adobe Creative Suite as well as Final Cut Pro 7. I train my coworkers on how to use video equipment and produce videos for the company I work for.

Praxis

I received a very high score on the Praxis when I took it (high enough that I was eligible to tutor through TEA), earned my certification, and taught for 2 years.

Film

How do I receive a discount?

Save between 5 and 15% on tutoring by purchasing credit with one of our prepaid discount packages. You can buy one of our standard 5, 10 or 15% packages or customize your own package based on how much tutoring you need. The credit you purchase can be used towards any tutor at any time and does not expire. If you do not use the entire package, we will simply deduct what you did spend on tutoring from your original purchase price and give you a refund. Discount packages start as low as $190.
