I am currently a senior in high school. I am a member of the National Honor Society and MU Alpha Theta. I have taken Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Pre-cal. I am very patient and diligent. I would like to set a good pace for your student. I have completed these courses with a really good grade and great understanding of the content. I have tutored geometry and algebra 1 students for about 3 years already. I like to teach in a hands-on approach.
I like to use a dry eraser board to help the students visual the problem. I am a visual learner so its easier for me to draw things and analyze them. I like to teach the same content in different ways in order to insure that the student can comprehend the content in teaching. I also provide my students with my email address so if they have a question between tutoring sessions; I will answer their question by doing it myself in a step by step process and send them how I solved the problem.
I am interested in teaching geometry and algebra 1 because I have a great understanding of the content. I still have the notes I took when I completed the course. I do not like to leave any question unsolved, so I encourage my students to ask me any question they may have. I am interested in your student's success and would like to ensure that he has the best chance of getting an A in any quiz or test they may have. However, I do ask my students to put forth an honest effort. I always tell them that if they give me 100 percent effort; there is no way they will not get a good grade.
I will be graduating with Summa Cum Laude of my class of 772 students. I am excited to be your student's tutor.
