A native speaker of Arabic, completed education in Germany and came to the US about 26 years ago. Established the Islamic study program at the University of Kentucky about 17 years ago, taught a variety of topics on Islamic Civilization, politics and culture in addition to teaching Modern standard Arabic and spoken Arabic at all levels.
