I graduated from Clear Lake High school in 2006 where I took 10 AP classes scoring well in all of them. I then went on to the University of Texas at Austin to major in Human Biology. I also did a double minor in Chemistry and Business while I was there. In in the fall of 2011 I started grad school at the University of Houston. I am currently doing my MS in Biological sciences. Over the past year and a half I have also had the opportunity to put what I have learned to use by working as a research technician at UTMB. During my time there I worked in a Gastroenterology and Hepatology lab doing various experiments such as PCR's, cell transvections, DNA extractions and purifications and assay development in proteins and metabolites. I think this experience really solidified my knowledge in the field of biology/chemistry since much of what you learn is conceptual and this gave me an opportunity for hands-on experience. After I am done with my masters I plan to go to medical school and hope to begin that in the fall of 2013. Because of my strong background in science specifically biology I feel confident I can tutor any level of that subject. I also took several courses in Chemistry and feel strong in that area as well. I have also done well in both the SAT and ACT and scored in the top 5% of the ACT. I have also gone through the entire undergrad, grad and med school application and interview process and am more than happy to provide guidance in those.
