My daughter struggled with math throughout elementary. I found Mrs. Jeannie at the start of my daughter's middle school year to help with math. She has been a great help and I have seen my daughter's grades improve. She is very knowledgeable in math taught within Cy-Fair ISD standards and ways. She is very patient with my daughter and is always on time. I would highly recommend Mrs. Jeannie for tutoring.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
After teaching Algebra I in both high school and middle school for 30 years I believe in teaching understanding of Algebra not just 'how to do it'. If one truly understands the concepts, the learning and remembering will be much easier. I want all my students to understand by conceptually developing each concept.
I feel I am qualified to tutor elementary math because of the experience I have teaching middle school math for 10 years. In addition to my years in middle school I taught for 20 years in high school. I know the necessary concept for success in math through high school and a belief in learning through conceptual development.
During my 10 years teaching in two middle schools I taught grades 6th, 7th, and 8th grade math. This experience gave me knowledge of all Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills(TEKS) for the middle school grades. I believe to learn a math concept that you must understand the concept and to understand the concept learning must began with the concept and then move to the process.
