Highly qualified educator with a Master's degree specializing in high school education. My background in education stems from teaching at-risk teenagers who prefer teachers that are willing to teach "outside the box". Teenagers are very skeptical and can tell if a teacher is not genuine in helping them. I am not a cookie cutter type of teacher. I taught in a charter school where students could not conform to the traditional methods of curriculum installed in the public school system.
I have also have experience in teaching in new environments than are not traditional. I traveled to South Korea, Philippines, China, and Japan teaching overseas as an ESL instructor. Teaching in new and different cultures provided challenges but awarding to push the boundary as an educator. I had to come up with my own curriculum and teaching styles to engage students who did not understand English well. Using my skills and experience, providing a comfortable environment for first-time clients or seasoned clients is my top priority.
