I completed my three engineering degrees at Texas A&M University. I have a B.S. in Engineering Technology (Mechanical), an M.S in Mechanical Engineering, and an M.E. in Civil Engineering.
In my tenure as a graduate student, I had the opportunity to lecture a freshman engineering course of about 100 students. I also taught lab courses in the Engineering Technology & Industrial Distribution (ETID) department. The lab courses were for electromechanical systems. I also was employed as a graduate assistant teacher and graduate research assistant. As part of my job requirements I maintained weekly student tutoring hours, graded assignments, maintained a safe laboratory environment for the students, designed and conducted independent university sponsored testing and research.
As for my course work, I have a very strong background in engineering mechanics (statics, dynamics). I'm also knowledgeable with fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and heat transfer. I have a strong mathematical background (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus) and engineering physics. I also successfully passed several statistics courses as well (STAT 601, 608, 626).
I have been using AutoCad for at least 15 - 20 years. While industry employed I used AutoCad to successfully create product drawings used to manufacture customer parts. I sincerely feel that I have a firm enough understanding to be competent enough to answer and tutor AutoCad.
I have made strictly A's and B's in all of my math and statistic course work. I have completed Calculus I,II & III, Differential Equations on a undergraduate level. I have successfully completed 3 advanced calculus courses at Texas A&M University (Math 601,602 & 603). I have also successfully completed Stat 601, 608 & 626.
I have a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University (2010). I have successfully taken and passed my Engineer In Training exam. Therefore I sincerely think that I'm capable and competent to tutor Civil Engineering courses.
I successfully passed computing courses in BASIC and Fortran. I have a firm understanding of structured programming and how to analyze and debug code. I can also write code using Matlab/Simulink on an intermediate level as well.
While working on my two Masters degrees I used Matlab exclusively and extensively to write code to analyze test results and produce various types of graphs. As a Graduate Assistant Teacher I instructed students how to use Matlab and Simulink to model electromechanical systems, generate output data and graphs.
I have an undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University in Engineering Technology (B.S.) with a specializing in mechanical systems. I also have a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (1999) from Texas A&M University. My coursework focused on engineering mechanics, materials, engineering experimental design & testing and nondestructive evaluation & testing (Global Methods).
Very Patient and a Good Teacher — Charles is a very good teacher. My son was struggling with Calculus and Charles was able to help him understand how to work the equations. At the end of the study period my son left with a smile on his face knowing that he had a better understanding about Calculus. ...
