I am 68 years old, married and the father of six children. I taught beginning Portuguese classes at BYU in Provo, UT, and at the University of Texas - Austin. I have lived in Brazil for a total of three and a half years, and returned from São Paulo in 2011 where my wife and I lived for 18 months.

Previous to this, I lived in Brazil for two years as a young man, and then returned to the U.S. where I received a B. A degree in Portuguese. I also had an opportunity to student teach Beginning Portuguese as both an undergraduate student and a graduate student.
