I am a bilingual generalist Early Childhood to six grade teacher. I am interested in tutoring because I love working with children and I have a desire to help them grow in their learning development. I am very patient and with my education and professional background, I am able to help children better understanding and how to solve problems. I always enjoy being surrounded by children and take care of them. I treat them with respect and care regardless of where they come from or who they are; every child is very special to me.

I worked at Mark Twain Elementary for almost seven years, during this time I gained valuable experience and knowledge on how to teach and help children that are having difficulties understanding a subject.

I like to teach Spanish because I am a native speaker and have thought at HISD in different grades. I know, how much Spanish help in college and in life in general.

Elementary (K-6th)

I graduated as bilingual generalist, Early Childhood-6th grade; I am working in my certification. I have passed all the tests except the PPR. My belief on being a good teacher is based upon good principles and following rules with values and norms that offer better ways to educate children.
I have worked with children for seven years Preschool, Kindergarten, 2nd-4th grades. I have a lot o patience, I like to use different strategies until the child understands the subject.

Great with kids! — Betty has been tutoring my 5 yr old daughter in Spanish for several weeks. She is progressing very quickly with the way Betty uses songs and play to teach Spanish. My daughter has a good time and really looks forward to her Spanish lesson!
