I am a first-year law student at the University of Texas School of Law and a graduate of Rice University. I was a full-time tutor for two years in-between undergrad and law school and enjoyed it so much that I decided I want to continue tutoring on the side during law school!
I have tutored most non-AP level high school subjects, as well as AP history courses. I've also tutored SAT, ACT, and PSAT students, as well as ran a GED course for a for-profit college. I also have experience tutoring the LSAT, having scored a 172 myself.
Although my profile may say some other courses, for the most part I do not have time to tutor people for classes other than LSAT. I will consider students in other subjects on a case-by-case basis. However, please remember that I am in law school. If you need someone for frequent, multi-hour, last-minute sessions, I may not be able to make time. I'm looking for students with a relatively stable schedule.
CANCELLATION POLICY: (sorry if this sounds harsh, but I've had students no-show and need to make sure this is in writing; I understand things come up and I am flexible so long as you give me as much notice as you can and are in contact with me) Any lesson can be cancelled up to 24 hours ahead of time with no penalty. Cancellations due to illness permitted penalty-free up to 2 hours ahead of time. Any other reason, I will accept without penalty up to three hours before time the first time only. After that, I will bill 1 hour. Cancellations with less than 2 hours notice will be billed as a full lesson. Failure to show up to a lesson without explanation will be billed as a full lesson.
