I am an Autism Consultant/tutor. I use a variety of original techniques and customized educational materials that fits the child's abilities and interests. I have certificates in ABA and Verbal behavior, and am currently pursuing my Master Degree in Special Education and BCBA certification.

I successfully taught my non-verbal son with autism how to read, type, and communicate via a speech device.

I believe all children with autism are teachable regardless of their severity.

I also do parent training, curriculum design, and IEP evaluations.

I am also a software engineer with a BS degree in Mathematics and Computer science. I tutor math in all grades and abilities including typical, gifted, and special needs.
My fees are $50/hr or $45/hr for a minimum of 2 hours/session.

I live off Eldridge and Clay road and can tutor in my home or yours.

I have tutored children and adults in English as a second language, both conversational and written. I learned English as a second language and have been in the US for over 30 years where I went to school here and married and native. I have the perspective of the constructs of the language to teach it to those who are learning it as a second language.

I charge $40-550 depending on location and frequency of lessons.

I am currently a graduate student in special education. I also have a son with special needs who I home school. Children with ADHD require lots of structure and organization. The teaching environment has to be void of distractions. A lesson has to be broken up in smaller pieces with plenty of breaks to sustain the student's attention.

Algebra 1

I have a BS degree in mathematics and Computer Science. I also worked as a software engineer, and have been a tutor for over 15 years.

I am a graduate student pursuing a master's degree in special education with autism intervention along with board certification in behavior analysis.

I am also a consultant and a in-home trainer of parents with children in the autism spectrum disorder, including Aspergers.

I home-schooled my own child, who has autism, up to the age of 13 years old.

Every child on the Autism Spectrum is uniquely different. Therefore, a program has to be designed to accommodate the child's current skills, needs, and interests. Goals have to be setup to make the child more independent and functional in every day environment. The tasks have to be broken up in smaller steps and intervention methods have to be designed to make the learning process interesting and valuable to the child. The parents have to be involved to replicate and implement the program throughout the day through incidental teaching and sometimes by sabotaging the environment. There are several methods and approaches that have been presented to teach a child with autism. Some are backed up by research such as Applied Behavior analysis. Other approaches are popular as well and have been helpful with segments of children with autism. Some children may correspond to one treatment plan more so than others. The key is to design a program that is effective with the child. I have certificates in ABA and Verbal behavior, and currently pursuing my Master in Special Education and BCBA certification.

Special Needs

I home schooled my non-verbal son with autism for 13 years. I am currently pursuing a master's in special education and certification in behavior analysis from the University of North Texas.

I also started local and global support groups for parents of children with autism.

My philosophy is meet the child where they are and build on their skills.

I use the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, error-less learning and breaking the tasks in smaller teachable units.
