As a tutor I promise to give my 100% to my student; I am very passionate with my job is no doubt that the student can easily detect my love for my job and subject. I also see my time as valuable so I expect and encourage my students to arrived on time. I respect and expect the same from my student. I have nearly 19 years of experience in providing education and information to adults and children in English and Spanish settings. At the elementary school level I assisted in a classroom of toddlers, so I understand my role as an instructor, mediator, nurturer, assistant, and companion. Result: I will always remember hyperactive little Jordan who loved to scream and kick when she first arrive. After a few days of working with her separately and introducing her to music, soothing conversation, and reading, she followed me wherever I went and hid behind me or climbed into my lap whenever she felt threatened. I know how important it is to be patient, kind, and tolerant with children and adults who have special needs. I also speak Spanish fluently and I’m familiar with supportive services that are available for such children and their families, because within special needs, you never know what can suddenly surprise you. For instance, in the past, I have had to help with food, clothing, housing, family conflict, criminal, acclimation, language, and immigration problems.
