I like to help students solve each individual Math problem, and don't mind going through the problems step by step. I try to give illustrations when possible, and help students to understand how a rule might apply to a given problem.
I want to make myself available to whoever can use my help. I want to help students understand why certain rules apply in solving algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, or trigonometry problems. As far as experience, I worked for my college as a math tutor while still in college, and nowadays tutor family members when needed. I work full-time as a computer programmer, but tutoring is my passion, because it provides an opportunity to get out there and make a difference in my community, as opposed to sitting in front of a computer all day long without much interaction with the general public during the work day. Seeing students improve their problem-solving skills motivates me to do better, not only in my career, but also in developing long-term relationships.
