Hi, Future Students and Parents! My name is Kaitlyn, and I am an energetic, comprehensive, hard-working tutor. Recently, I graduated from high school as the Salutatorian of my class, and I have just completed my freshman year of college at Stanford University. I plan to study pre-medicine, and perhaps major in Psychology or Mathematics.
Speaking of my love for numbers, math is my favorite subject to tutor. However, I also enjoy helping students with reading, writing, science, and many other subjects. I believe that my youthfulness will allow me to connect with students who are in elementary, middle, or even high school, since I have just been in their shoes. I will be able to relate to young students in a way that other tutors simply will not be able to. Furthermore, I am not just an "ordinary" student myself, but an exceptional student. I have made Commended on every TAKS test I have ever taken, and I also scored a 2270 on the SAT and a 32 on the ACT. In addition, I have taken several college-level AP classes, including World History, U.S. History, English Language, Biology, Calculus AB, Statistics, English Literature, Economics, and Government. Also, I completed an Intro to Psychology course at Tarrant County College.
Finally, I already have experience as a tutor under my belt. Last year I was a volunteer tutor with the H.O.P.E. Tutoring Center, a church-based organization located in Arlington. Through this organization I worked once a week with 3rd through 8th grade children in reading, writing, and math. I even had a valuable opportunity to tutor a young boy with Asperger's, which taught me how to work with a student with an alternative learning style who needs proper accommodations. Most recently I have worked with several high school and elementary students, mostly in math ranging from elementary level to Algebra II.
All in all I believe that I have the experience and capability to be an extraordinary tutor. I hope you select me as your tutor, because I will not let you down!
