I hold a bachelor of science degree in Agronomy and a minor in Spanish from Texas A&M University .Whether you are trying to grasp the satirical grammar in Cervantes', "Don Quixote De La Mancha" or understand the basics I am here, happy to help.
Growing up, my father was fluent in Spanish and I was able to learn the basics at an early age. In college, my interest in the language was furthered when I took a Latin American Studies course. I soon learned the history and culture behind the wonderful language of Spanish. Post college, I have worked in industries requiring conversational and written Spanish skills on a daily basis. Not only will I share my knowledge on grammar, conversation and immersion opportunities but I also believe any way to feel immersed in the culture ( without traveling to a Spanish-speaking country) will help increase your learning proficiency and will help make learning fun!
A key part of my approach will be to learn as much about my student in our first session as I can, establishing an understanding of their:
-skill level
-language goals
-what type of learner they are
-interests/hobbies
-current access to immersion
In this first session, I will also do my very best to answer any questions they may have. For the remaining sessions, your experience will be unique and customized to fit your language goals.
