Hello student/parents,
I am currently studying Computer Engineering for which many advanced math courses are required. As of now, I'm only able to help college students with Calculus and any other classes below this level, including pre-calculus, trigonometry, college algebra, etc. Regarding younger students, I prefer to tutor students no younger than 11 years of age; in other words, grades 6th to 12th.
Math has always been my favorite and strongest subject and I always find joy in helping other students understand the concept. It warms my heart every time I hear a "Thank you so much! Why can't my teacher explain like you?" or something along those lines, as well as seeing improved scores from the student resulting from our sessions.
As most students struggling with this subject have the idea that math is a dry, hard and boring subject, they tend to develop a negative attitude towards it. I will try my best to reverse this attitude and be creative in each of our sessions, working with each individual's learning style and needs.
I also offer help in Spanish, whether it is writing, reading, or speaking the language that the student is struggling with.
