I have been a professional singer since 1985 and have sung lead roles in operas, musicals and oratorios as well as being a church musician. I have taught voice lessons for the past 20 years, both in public schools and privately. In addition to teaching music, I taught English as a Second Language in Japan and at Collin County Community College. I also instructed classes in SAT Prep, Speed Reading and Memorization/Study Techniques.

I enjoy working one-on-one with my students and strive to make the lessons enjoyable as well as instructional. My students seem to look forward to their lessons with me and are seldom late or absent. My goal is to challenge each student to reach his/her highest potential.

SAT Reading

I taught SAT Prep classes at Collin County Community College, which included teaching Greek and Latin word origins. I have also tutored private students in SAT Prep as well as memorization and study skills. In addition, I have worked for Pearson Educational Testing scoring the written portions of TAKS, SAT and STARR assessments.

Ear Training

I have a degree (BS) in General/Choral Music (K-12) and Vocal Performance. I have been teaching voice lessons, both in public schools and privately, for twenty-five years. I teach all aspects of being a proficient singer which includes reading music, ear training and sight singing.

General Music

I studied piano for 10 years and am qualified to teach beginning and intermediate lessons to children and adults.

I have taught test taking and study skills both as a private tutor and at Collin County Community College. I have also conducted private seminars in memorization techniques.

Theatre

I have been a professional opera singer and actress for over 25 years. I have performed in more than 50 operas & musicals. I also have experience in costumes, makeup, props, etc. while working with small theater and opera companies.

Voice (Music)

I have a degree (BS) in General/Choral Music (K-12) and Vocal Performance. I have been a professional singer since 1983 (opera, musical theater, oratorios, church/wedding soloist, etc). I sang with The Dallas Opera Chorus for twenty-one years and performed in 50+ operas. I have been teaching voice lessons, both in public schools and privately, for twenty-five years.
