Dedicated to your learning experience I offer my services as a tutor in several subjects. Currently I hold degrees in Business Administration, Forensic Science, Military Intel and will be finishing one in Psychology. I work well with young and old and will find new and inventive ways to help you on your learning journey. Though not specifically trained in special needs- I have had success in guiding their journey too. All of my children were home schooled and the youngest started college at age fourteen.

I am looking forward to hearing from you and seeing how close to the moon we can reach!

Sewing

Threading a needle break you out in cold sweat? Use a stapler to make a hem or repair a blowout? Ever want that off the rack to fit like custom made? From simple hems and buttonholes to designing and sewing your own one of a kind creations- all can be exciting and in today's world money savers.

From basic to advanced, sewing can be fun and profitable. Learn from an award winning seamstress. lets explore the basics, simple repairs, hems and buttons, to more advanced picking and cutting a pattern, creating special designs and looks. For the more fun, how about quilting, embroidery (ribbon and thread) and crocheting.

I will be looking forward to hearing from you and lets create something really magical!

Social Studies

Ask any 4-5 grader and they will tell you social studies is horrible. Some may even confess it is a good time to nap. But this could not be farther from the truth. Social studies helps us see and understand those around us and in todays world where an email can go around the globe north-south east and west in a blink of a second- knowing the people and cultures you are sending it to is paramount!

Come with me and lets explore our neighbors, our city, our county, our state, our nation and our world. There are 6 billion stories just waiting to be heard!

Sociology

Sociology- that art of telling someone to go jump in the water and make them look forward to the swim.

Though this description makes light of the subject the art of sociology is dealing with people. How do you deal with a difficult person, a shy person, a scared person. If someone is acting in a particular way, fits of rage, withdrawn, unco-operative, what could the underlying stressors be and how do you over come them.

Sociology is not just for people "that have a problem" it is for everyone that deals with people. How do you make yourself understood? How do you stop arguing and really listen to what the other person is saying? How do you get and give respect? How do you make relationships an unbreakable bond? How can cultures work and live together- all different but all moving in the same direction?
All these questions are answered in sociology.

Come with me and we will see how to make the world more understandable if not better!

Swimming

Being a natural fish I graduated Senior life saving at age 11 and had my water safety instructor by age 13. At 13 I was teaching 15-18 year olds how to be lifeguards. I maintained my American Red Cross WSI for several years but found it difficult to find places to renew it. During that time I taught many people from small children- their first time in the water to adults that had a life-long fear of water.

I am able to teach/coach on all levels and can target teach for a specific result.
So- if you want to learn, have children that need to learn or just want to brush up on your form I think we would get along swimmingly!
