Hi! I am available to tutor adult learners who are serious about learning English (at the UT Dallas campus two days a week).
I've been teaching adult learners for over 25 years. As your personal ESL tutor, I would use the same coaching skills that have helped my graduate-level students over the years to help you as well.
For example, as your tutor I would:
-Provide an initial learning assessment meeting at no charge
-Write a personal learning plan for you that identifies your goals and tracks progress
-Meet with you in learning sessions of 60, 90, or 120 minute sessions
-Provide genuine encouragement during the learning process
-Show personal interest in your learning goals
-Treat you with respect as a fellow learner whose journey has great value
-Do everything possible to make learning enjoyable, meaningful, and relevant
My credentials include a PhD in global studies, TESOL certificate, Life Purpose Coach certification, a professor for 25 years, and native American English speaker. I am learning a second language too - Indonesian. As an Indonesian language learner, I have an even greater understanding of ESL students who work so hard to learn English.
