I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where I attended Sunset High School and Arlington State U (UTA).
My work record includes thirty one years living in Latin America; ten in P.R., ten in Venezuela & eleven in Mexico.
The job,VP/Latin American Operations, included travel to all Latin American countries. My wife, of more than forty years, is Puerto Rican. Two of our children were born in Puerto Rico, one in Venezuela and one in Mexico. We are a bilingual and bi-cultural family. I have also done more than five years work at my church, involved in all the Hispanic ministries. Some of them were ESL, Safe Environment and Faith Formation.
One of the most pleasant aspects of my life has been the opportunity to meet and interact with people from all walks of life and many different countries.
After retirement, I spent a year of service with Americorps Vista (Domestic Peace Corps.)I was trained in Washington, D.C. and assigned to the International Rescue Committee as Volunteer Coordinator for western African refugees.
Due to my extensive experience working overseas, I am not only passionate about teaching Spanish but also helping the students understand different Latin cultures.
