I am a passionate young adult who loves to learn and wishes to share that same love of learning with others. In high school I was a straight A student, a member of the National Technical Honor Society, as well as a dual credit college student. I pride myself in my work and always strive to do my best. I have a strong passion for working with children. I have spent a year working with school aged children as a tutor in a child care facility. I spent over two years working as a children's librarian. This allowed me to help kids discover a passion for reading and expand their view of the outside world. I was then accepted into the local university's tutor prep program and have worked as a writing tutor there for the last two semesters.

I believe in the saying "Practice makes perfect". When teaching others I often use the repetition method, whether it be by doing worksheets or studying note cards. I also do my best to instill strong study habits and good organizational skills in my students. I believe that education is the key to success and my goal is to help every student succeed.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Bible Studies

I have led a Bible study through my church for the past two years. I am passionate about this subject and have a heart for sharing and teaching the Bible to others. I have grown up in the church, and feel confidant in my abilities to help others in this area.

Needlework

Over the course of the last 10 years, I have completed a number of counted cross-stitch patterns. I know of several different techniques and knot styles. I love to spend my time working on needlepoint and other crafts.
