I am in my 8th year of teaching at an elementary school in CCISD. I received my teaching certificate from Texas A&M and a MBA from University of Houston Clear Lake. I am certified to teach Elementary Education, Gifted and Talented, ESL, and P.E.

I have been doing one-on-one tutoring for 9 years. I believe elementary school is a time to get all children on the right track from the youngest age. I offer one-on-one and small group tutoring for students in grades kindergarten through 5th grade in all academic subject areas. Phonics is one of the most important skills for young students to learn. I will help build students phonics skills in order be able to apply them in reading and writing. I will help to support academic development and the achievement of every learning milestone through individualized tutoring sessions.

I also have been helping people stay healthy for many years. I am certified to teach Physical Education. I love working out, CrossFit, running marathons, and staying active by competing in triathlons. I have completed 2 half Ironmans and am currently training for a full Ironman. I love to help people lead a healthy life style while finding the perfect balance for them doing cardio, weights, and healthy eating.

Special Needs

I have been teaching in the public school system for 8 years. During this time, I have worked with many special needs students. I have had the opportunity to work side by side many behavior and academic specialist and have been able to learn awesome techniques to help a wide range of students with special needs.

ADD/ADHD

Dyslexia

I work with dyslexia students everyday in my classroom. I teach them in all subject areas and work closely with a dyslexia teacher in order to maximize their learning in my classroom and tutoring sessions. I have been to many training and taken classes on different ways to identify these students and the best practices to use for them to be successful in school.

TAKS

I have worked with students preparing for the TAKS test for 7 years. I have worked one on one and in small groups to help with the reading and math portions of this test at the elementary school I teach at.

Fitness

I am certified to teach physical education in grade Pre-K through 12th. Fitness is a huge part of my life. I compete competitively in triathlons. I have completed a 1/2 Ironman and am currently training for a full Ironman in May.
