I am a full time competitive and working artist. I graduated for Texas Christian University with a Bachelors Of Fine Art: emphasis in both sculpture and painting in 2002. Upon graduation I was already selling in galleries and teaching art classes at local studios.

My teaching experience ranges from teaching those in grade school to elder professional artists. I am skilled in just about every medium imaginable in both 2d and 3d mediums. I teach both in classroom and personal one on one settings.

In 2004 I opened an architectural/construction business where I designed and built both residential and commercial structures. I closed that business in 2008 to spend more time on my art as I wanted to begin a new series of work I am currently making. I show in over a dozen shows a year from California to my home state in Texas to New York.

I enjoy teaching others what I know to help further their knowledge and curiosity of art. I can help you learn more about conceptual art and aesthetic art. I can introduce you to new materials and techniques. I can also help you with your own personal artistic goals and art pieces.

I currently own and run Art-Hunger, a local FWD organization that helps artists show and sell their work. We curate several businesses artwork as well as host small and large exhibitions.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Drawing

In all classes I have taught I make my students keep a sketch book for their personal use and class use to maintain and refine their drawing capabilities. I believe fine tuning ones sketching and drawing skills is the core to any great artist. I have won several awards for my drawings in both graphite, colored lead, pastel, ink and charcoals. I have vast experience in life study and landscape drawing.

Painting

I have a BFA from TCU with an emphasis in both painting and sculpture. I am a full time working and competitive artist. I have taught new artists from early grade school years to elder professional artists. I personally paint several times a day every week.
