Education is the key to success for all students.

As an educator I attempt to motivate students in ascertaining their inner strengths and abilities and discovering what truly inspires them. My goal is to provide a stimulating learning environment that encourages students to trust their own opinions while fostering confidence, in order for students to realize their full potential.

I have a multitude of skills and experiences including military service. My life experiences have helped me to grow into a well-rounded and compassionate individual, who takes each student's unique goals, needs and interest into account and creates effective lessons and activities to accommodate them and their unique learning style.

By relating instruction to real life, I hope to instill a love of learning and a desire for constant knowledge with each student by keeping them motivated with praise and encouragement.

I have been sewing since I was 9 years old. My mom taught me on a Singer straight stitch. As a teen, I remember teaching her how to put an "invisible zipper" into a garment. She was very old school by the book and would get frustrated that I could whip up a garment and the collar points would look perfect and she would iron for days and not know how to get them to do that. I continued to use my sewing skills while in the military creating my own patterns for tool bags, equipment covers or larps. I have sewn on a varity of different types of machines both with and without patterns. I can create my own when necessary.
