Are the moles invading your sleep? Do you seem too unreactive in class? Do you feel like your neurons are not firing fast enough? Do the messages from your teacher get lost in the tangled mass of your nervous tissue? Don't despair, I can help you untangle the mysterious language of science (and your neurons). I teach high school biology and chemistry and I love what I do!
I got my degree in Biology with minor in Chemistry at Texas Christian University. Throughout my college career I was selected as a member of an internship research project at University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center where I got hands-on experience in biotechnology.
My experience with children started right after college. As a nanny to 9-year old quadruplets and their older sister I gained my organizational skills and learned to treat each child with individual attention and approach. I decided that I really like to spend time with kids and to teach them, so I went through teacher certification program and landed a job right away at a private school in Fort Worth. I have been here ever since and I love it.
I decided that I wanted to further my education and started a Masters of Science Education program at University of Texas in Arlington. I am to graduate in May 2013, taking my last class.
Teaching is what I do and what I love!
