My name is Diana G. and I love grammar! I grew up bilingual and was always fascinated by the compatibility of the two languages. As I studied the history of language and its development among the different people of the world, I became more and more intrigued by the formation of words and sentences to effectively communicate all sorts of ideas and sentiments. Words can create art to be enjoyed as well as make important life changing statements in the world of politics. I enjoy leading students to discover the best word choice for a desired expression or communication. I also work hard with students to help them discover the importance of clear and concise communication. Writing book reports, short stories, character sketches or essays are fun ways to use grammar and develop writing skills. Not only did I grow up bilingual with Spanish and English, but I also studied the two languages for my major in college. I have taught Spanish in private schools and English as a Second Language in private colleges. I love to teach Spanish especially to students who need it for credit and/or who want to learn it for the sake of obtaining a second language. I also enjoy drawing, painting and crafts using a type of impressionism in my style. I enjoy teaching students to express themselves in pencil, ink, acrylic paint, clay, cloth, and paper crafts. I home schooled my own children for 10 years. My oldest son is a music minister in Virginia and he graduated from Dallas Baptist University in Christian Ministries. My middle child also graduated from Dallas Baptist University in Psychology and is getting her Master's degree at Dallas Theological Seminary. My youngest son will graduate next summer from the Art Institute of Dallas. I am very proud of my children for their accomplishments and dedication to their passions. I hope to serve as an inspiration and encouragement to other children and teenagers as they prepare themselves for their own lifelong journey.
