My name is Lance. My tutoring career is now in its third year. I have practiced as a private/self employed tutor and am currently working with a tutor organization in a local community. My subject areas include Mathematics, such as Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus 1 & 2, Undergraduate Statistics, TAKS, and STAAR. I have published an essay for my university's first ever journal, thus allowing me to tutor writing, proofreading, and research skills. Currently, I serve a broad clientele ranging from middle school up to graduate level students. Please do not forget to read the section labeled VERY IMPORTANT below.
Through compassion and joy I have assisted several students from diverse backgrounds to accomplished their learning goals. To name a few of my past clientele's successes include the following: mastering the TAKS test with commendation, mastering college and career entrance examinations, and simplifying complex concepts to make them more accessible to the student mind.
Tutoring allows me be more interactive, dynamic, creative while interacting with my clientele, which in turn allows them to be creative, be themselves, providing a safe and comfortable environment for them to learn. This dynamic energy allows me to establish rapport with students, as well as facilitate a more efficient learning environment free from distractions. In all, I take great joy in seeing my students grasp the concepts and become successful in their endeavors.
I look forward to helping and serving you or your child's learning needs and to assist them on their road to success.
VERY IMPORTANT: If you submit to me questions on a future assignment and ask me to take a look at them via phone call or email, you will be charged based upon the number of hours I spend going over the assignment if you decide not to have a tutor session with me. If you do have a tutor session with me, the above charge will be waived. Furthermore, with regard to statistics, I am only proficient in undergraduate level statistics, Sophomore level coursework.
