I'm a highly qualified, experienced educator with a proven track record of student achievement who strives for excellence in all that I do. My passion for teaching is the core of my being. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them. I feel there is a need for compassionate, strong, and dedicated individuals who are excited about working with children. I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an engaging learning environment.
I’m a resourceful, dedicated professional educator with 6 years of experience. I have been repeatedly selected to fill leadership roles in the school setting. I have a strong ability to engage and influence parents, students and staff. I am always eager to seek educational opportunities to increase personal and professional growth. I have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with individuals or groups of diverse backgrounds. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, educator that believes all children can learn. My goal is to continue a career in education where I can use my talents and skills to prepare students for college and the workforce.
I am ESL Certified in Texas with 6 years of teaching experience in Dallas ISD.
I have six years of teaching experience with Kindergarten in the public school setting. During my six years of teaching Kindergarten, I use phonics as a way to teach Kindergarten age students to develop reading skills which help their ability to read successfully. I use blending techniques with word families to teaching phonics throughout the year. I believe using flashcard visuals and letter manipulatives helps children grasp the concept of using phonics to learn how to read.
I believe study skills are extremely important in being a successful learner. I personally feel that my strong study habits in school helped my success as an adult in my career as a teacher. It is important to know how to study to make the best use of your time, for example, looking for key words in a reading passage is important to studying reading material.
