Hello -or- Hola...as we say in Spanish. My name is Terri; although my students can call me Señora "B". I love the Spanish language and earned my Bachelor Degree in Spanish from the University of Texas at Tyler. I have traveled to Mexico several times and even went to one of the universities in Cuernavaca to learn Spanish. I enjoy speaking, reading and writing Spanish and currently translate documents from Spanish to English. I have tutored my own children and 2 of my 3 children earned degrees in Spanish; my son is a Spanish teacher and one of my daughters is a Fulbright Scholar and teaches ESL at the University of Costa Rica.
I like using flash cards, games, songs, magazines, newspapers and real life experiences when teaching Spanish and would like to work with students in grade levels 6-12. Even though I live in Flint, I work in Tyler and will tutor in Tyler and the surrounding areas or in my home. I'm even open to tutoring via internet - lots of students prefer using the internet; however, internet tutoring can be somewhat restrictive. I hope I can help you and your student meet the challenge of learning a new language. After all, Learning Spanish Is Easier Than You Think!
