I am certified to work with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorders, which includes autism, Aspergers, and other associated learning disabilities. I have worked with such students in an inclusion environment where the students have been in normal classrooms. Use of visual and graphic organizers, structuring spaces, and helping the students to develop clear organizational frameworks are key to helping them to adjust to a normal class situation.
I've taken multiple theology classes in college, including "Understanding the Bible". I have also read and studied scripture extensively with small groups and independently. I have led several Bible studies. I have taught religious education and been an RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation) instructor for a large Catholic parish. I have read a number of biblical commentaries and exegesis works from the Fathers of the Church and other sources. Studying, understanding, and living the Word of God is my primary focus and purpose in life.
