I am a language practitioner trainee at Southern Methodist University. I will be using a multi-sensory method of teaching based on the Orton-Gillingham method. It is fast paced and consists of explicit teaching of alphabet and dictionary skills, phonological awareness, reading skills, verbal expression, and listening skills. The program is designed for one hour sessions four or five times a week. I previously taught in public schools for 18 years, mostly in reading. I am located near Emory.
