Patient and helpful tutor for your difficulties in math

I am a senior working towards a bachelor's degree in Mathematical Biology. I have a drive for research and plan on working alongside doctors to help better understand the genetic diseases that we suffer from today.

My main goal in life is to help others. I am incredibly patient and friendly. I am majoring in mathematics because I enjoy it and excel in it, however I also conduct medical research. As part of my job in the lab, I have to be able to explain the complicated experiments I do and the results I get to others that are not in the medical field. This is my favorite part of the job. Being able to help others understand the research I do in arthritis and inform them of the amazing advancements we have made in the field always makes my day.

I love volunteering and working with kids! I was recently part of the K-grams pen pal program. I really enjoyed writing to/receiving letters from my pen pal and going to the schools to help with classroom projects. The students were only in third and fourth grade, but they were very intelligent and kindhearted.

Calculus

I have taken Calculus 1, 2, and 3. Calculus 1 and 2 I took through my high school and received a 4 on both AP exams. Calculus 3 I took at the University and passed with an A. As a math major I have to know all of my general calculus rules and topics, along with higher level math subjects.

ACT English

I scored a composite score of 30 on the ACT and a 29 in the English section.
I have taken numerous grammar and literature courses, and helped out with my high school's ACT/SAT preparation program.

ACT Math

I scored a composite score of 30 on the ACT and a 32 in the Mathematics section.
I have taken numerous mathematics courses, I am a math major, and I helped out with my high school's ACT/SAT preparation program.

Differential Equations

As a math major I am required to take multiple forms of differential equations courses. I have taken a general ordinary differential equations course along with specific partial differential equations courses with boundary value problems. I have also taken courses that relate differential equations to biological happenings in the body. I got A's in all of my courses and conduct research in working with differential equations to map tumor growth in cancer.

TAKS

I passed all of my TAKS exams with flying colors. I even scored perfect on the mathematics portion. I have also helped tutor students for the TAKS test at my old high school. I have also helped students prepare for the newer Texas state test, STAAR.
