I am a 22 year old senior at The University of North Texas. My major is Applied Arts and Sciences with a minor in Human Services. My concentrations are in education, sociology, behavior analysis, and counseling. I have done observations in elementary, junior high, and high school; completed a behavioral change project; and have completed a project in which I counseled a patient using coping methods. In all of these assignments I received an A.
I am a fun energetic girl and I think laughter can cure all. I am also a mother to a wonderful two year old boy. I truly believe that all children are good students. My tutoring approach is to find what interest the child. I find that I pay the most attention in class when I am interested. Once the student gains confidence in what they are doing they are less timid in learning more information. It's up to the educator to find a method that can work for the child if they are behind. If everyone at home and school are focused on the child, he/she can go far.
