Greetings,

My name is Stephanie and I look forward to working with you! I have a broad range of expertise and am one year away from my MSPED in Autism Interventions.

I taught English in South Korea to elementary and Middle School students. I also taught reading to struggling students in Fresno, CA. The children I worked with increased reading scores by three grades. I also taught adults ESL at a night school program.

My approach to teaching is very student-centered. I believe in meeting the needs of the student by any means necessary and making learning engaging. I believe every student can learn and can succeed, given the proper tools.

I worked as a paraprofessional in a special needs class in the Denton area. I have also volunteered at my church's special needs program. I am currently pursuing an MSPED with an Autism emphasis.

Religion

I worked for a church full-time for just under two years. I have volunteered for several churches over the years. I also have an MA from Seminary and am well versed in theology.

Bible Studies

I have an MA in Ministry and have been in ministry full-time. I would be glad to help someone learn how to write bible studies, study for themselves, and gain an understanding of theological foundations.

ADD/ADHD

I have worked with ADHD and ADD students while working as the children's ministry pastor at my previous church. I am also taking the class EDSP, which is a special needs class where we have discussed best teaching practices for ADD/ADHD students.

Autism

I have experience working with several students in the Autism Spectrum, with various levels of functionality. I have worked in a school setting as well as a community setting. I am continuing my education in MSPED with an Autism emphasis.
