Hi! My name is Michele and I'm a passionate Spanish teacher. I have just moved to Dallas to work as a Bilingual Teacher. I have lived in Barcelona (Spain) for 32 years, and have worked as a Spanish teacher for more than 12 years. I've taught at different schools in Spain, from 1st grade to 12th grade, and adults too.
I cannot imagine my life without teaching this incredible language. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Humanities and a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Journalism, and the state of Spain Teaching Certificate "Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude", needed to teach Elementary and High School in Spain. I am finishing a Master in Comparative Studies in Art, Literature and Thought at the Pompeu Fabra University, in Barcelona. I have to hand in my final Project, based on Kazimir Malevich's Russian Suprematism.
I work as an occasional writer for Ddona magazine in the Art section and have exhibited my paintings and sculptures in two occasions, in Barcelona.
I use different teaching methods that include conversational Spanish lessons, grammatical structure, writing and reading skills through newspaper articles, magazines, songs, Spanish poetry, fictitious interviews, debates, film scenes, documentaries, reading comprehension worksheets, writing exercises, games, cooking in Spanish, etc.
And for the youngest plenty of funny games, creative activities (drawing, modelling clay, singing, cooking dishes from Spain, cakes, Disney film scenes) and much more!
All my lessons are delivered in person, and my approach changes for each student depending on their special needs and requirements.
Class size available: private lessons, 2-3 students, 4-6 students.
Students proficiency levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced level.
Facets: conversation, grammar, business, study abroad, exam preparation.
My teaching schedule is any time, any day (except for Sunday). The class will be held in any convenient place, but my class cancellation policy establishes that the class must be cancelled 24 hours before your class or you will be responsable for the class fee.
