Dear students, I have been a professional student all my life. With degrees including Pre-Medicine (with Biology and Chemistry major), Master of Computer Science, and Master of Business Administration (MBA), I firmly believe that learning never ends. Over the years, I have shared my knowledge through tutoring and teaching, both in a 1-on-1 and in a traditional classroom setting. I completed my MBA online, which helped me learn even more approaches on conveying the study material.
Ask yourself, can anyone be a "good" teacher? Now think about your current or former teachers, who are all well educated. Do they all teach the same way? Are they all equally helpful and effective? Why such a wide range of expertise, even though their education level is about the same?
Since every student's learning style is different, I start out by studying how s/he would best learn and understand. Next, I use the strategies that are the best match to his/her learning ability, to facilitate a thorough and longterm understanding of the information. The outcome is increased confidence among peers and better grades in the class. To further learn about student-teacher expectation, an initial meeting may be scheduled with registered students.
