Are you wanting to learn another language? Have you ever said you wanted to learn a language but have always struggled with the process? There are really an endless amount of reasons for wanting to engage in language learning.
My personal background with languages is mostly involved with Spanish and Arabic, with English being my mother tongue. I am capable of reading, writing, speaking, and listening in each of these languages. I have studied both at universities and have used both Spanish and Arabic in professional and foreign environments, including within an 8 year military career. Currently I am studying linguistics and literacy at the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics; a premier institution for applied linguistics in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.
Make no mistake: language learning is challenging. In pursuit of learning another language one not only learns about the language and culture, but also begins to learn about oneself. Language learning also varies from individual to individual. What I am committed to doing for you as a language learner is to hone in on exactly what works and what does not work for you. After this assessment, we can then begin to move in the proper direction using the proper mechanics with learning the new language. Again, my experience is with English, Spanish, and Arabic. If there is another language of interest (I am currently studying Chinese) I would be happy to assist with creating learning plans, both short-term and long-term, for learning the proposed language. Of course if you are a current student attending high school or an institute of higher education (college, university, etc) then lessons can be specified and focused accordingly to the proposed curriculum.
In other words I'm flexible. If you are seriously interested in learning languages or need some practical advice I am happy to assist. Good luck in your language studies and I look forward to assisting you!
