Hi, my name is Alexandria and I have earned a B.A. in mathematics from Spelman College. I have been tutoring for 10 years and teaching math for 3 years. I absolutely love math and tutoring as a whole. I prefer tutoring over teaching due to the opportunity to effectively focus on individual student's needs and help them overpower those struggles.
I am dedicated to identifying each student's learning style and find what works best for that student to retain the content. I have the ability to break any content down into step-by-step instructions. From those steps, together, the student and I can develop acronyms, songs or movement to help remember how to solve the problems.
I am certified and highly qualified to tutor any math subject. I also feel really confident in tutoring any elementary subject. I have tutored all age groups and have a true passion for tutoring. I recommend at least two 1-hour tutoring sessions a week. I can drive to you, meet somewhere, or tutor virtually.
