Hello and thank you for visiting my tutor profile! My name is Erika and I look forward to working with students in need of elementary math, Spanish, or science tutoring. I graduated from Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas. My first language is Spanish, but you'd never know it.

I love science and all things biology. I currently am putting all my science and anatomy knowledge to work within the funeral service field. I've had a recent review of most subjects since I've graduated with a second degree in Applied Sciences in 2011. I like working with children and young adults and I've never worked tutoring adults, but I definitely look forward to the opportunity. I usually get my practice tutoring my little brother and have had a recent review of 6th grade math with him. I'm an open book, so feel free to ask any questions you'd like!

Spanish

I fluently speak Spanish. It is my first language. I'm a native of South Texas where I grew up frequently speaking, reading and writing the language. I'd love to have the opportunity to work with students on a language I'm very passionate about.

Anatomy

Anatomy is one of the subjects I'm definitely more familiar with. I've had a more recent review since becoming a licensed embalmer in 2011, where knowing and being familiar with anatomy is key in performing the services required in the Funeral Service Field.

My specialty within anatomy would definitely consist of anything dealing with circulation, muscles, and the skeletal system. If you think I can help you in any of these areas I'll be glad to help!

Elementary (K-6th)

Though my professional career does not usually involve working with children, I have always been very passionate about helping children.

I have participated as a tutor, specifically in reading and math. I have additional practice with my own little brother, who is now a 6th grader, and also with nieces and nephews.
