Hello! I am a senior Spanish major at UNT, set to graduate in May. I have taken Spanish since I was in kindergarten, and have been fluent since 7th grade. I am well trained in all aspects of second-language acquisition, both from having learned Spanish as a second language for most of my life, and also through a class at UNT called Foreign Language Teaching Methods, which I received a 4.0 in.
The most common aspects of learning spanish that cause difficulty for children are: verb conjugations, spelling and accent placement, pronunciation, reading, and writing. Whether your child is just starting out, or is overwhelmed by the rigorous AP curriculum, I'm here to help!
I learn best when I know a lot about the history and culture behind a language, and I try to make that connection for my students because I believe that the "why" is just as important as the "how." (And this often boosts information retention!) If you've got an inquisitive child--no matter the skill level--I'm your tutor!
