Thanks for deciding to take a closer look at how I can help you.
My formal academic background includes an A.A.S. in Real Estate; three B.S. degrees - Economics, Business Administration, and Political Science; and an M.B.A. (Real Estate & Corporate Finance). I am one course shy of an M.S. in Accounting. I also have a J.D. (Juris Doctor) and I am a retired attorney that practiced in the fields of corporate/business/real estate, bankruptcy, criminal and personal injury law. I am also a published legal author.
I have successfully tutored college students, law students, foreign students in graduate legal studies, retired military and a wide spectrum of others. I have been tutoring, counseling, and advising people all of my adult life, usually as part of normal academic needs, resume construction and design, dealing with strategic and day-to-day financial management. I often tutor in situations where my students are facing or experiencing significant crises or decisive turning points in their lives or of those they cared most about.
My practice included the successful defense of nationally prominent criminal cases. I have been featured on every major news network along with personal interviews on CBS Evening News with Dan Rather & Scott Pelley.
I am also a business and bankruptcy consultant. I devised a methodology still used today to value very large numbers of separate, distinct but similar or like kind assets in major bankruptcies. I have reviewed major company financial filings, reaching conclusions opposite of the laudatory self-interest recommendations of wealthy nationally lauded stock analysts, causing major corrective price adjustments in stocks. I have conducted pre-investment due diligence investigations for potential investors.
I can help you with your subject tutoring needs, study patterns, life skills, life "puzzles" and ways to structuring your life to achieve above average personal financial success.
My goal is to help you get done what you need done by doing whatever I can to help you to learn and understand a subject or topic, pass an exam with the highest grade possible, learn a new skill (or add to an existing one), or help you and your family learn fairly simple life techniques that can make all the difference to you personally & FINANCIALLY over the course of your lives.
In the end, HOW YOU HANDLE what your education enables you to earn during your life time will almost always be more important to you financially than what you actually DID to earn it.
To sum it up, I can help you learn a subject that you need to learn, and I can also help you become a life long learner that is successful academically, fluent and adept with your present and future skill sets, successful in your job(s) & career, and in your personal & financial life.
All this is available to you as your time, circumstances and interest dictate.
I will work with my students to save both time and money by utilizing phone, email, document sharing or similar state-of-the-art methods - in addition to personal meetings and training. I urge you to always consider those "remote" alternatives when making your tutoring decisions. Together we can make it work and probably better than what you might have originally thought. The communications tools are available in this day and age so always consider using them. Remote can work just as well as in person.
Projects, questions, or areas that need my specific expertise and skill sets will be billed accordingly and can also be done remotely where feasible. Generalized "kicking the tires" questions will normally NOT be billed. When you communicate with me make sure your emails reflect your needs and intent.
Cancellations: I understand things "happen", but this is not a “time filler” for me - time is always limited. I prefer a one day notice so I can possibly re-book or reschedule another student. The minimum I can accept is an eight hour notice in extremely dire emergencies or the like. Less than eight hours notice w/o dire circumstances will result in a one hour session time being charged to the client's account.
