I have been teaching piano lessons in the Dallas/Flower Mound/Richardson area for the last 15 years. I teach lessons in Dallas in my home or you may request that I come to your home and teach in your home. I teach all ages and levels- beginners through advanced. I also teach adults and home-schoolers. I teach basic music fundamentals, note-reading and general music reading. I believe the books I use are superior and that they have the most interesting musical pieces of any of the method books on the market.
I have two annual recitals, one in the spring which typically includes some jazz and pop music. The December recital includes a Christmas piece if parents and students want that. I also have students participate in two festivals a year sponsored by the Plano Music Teachers Association. I am a member. I also involve students in the state theory test.
I like music, people, and teaching very much and I look forward to meeting you! I also have a website which I can direct you to upon request.
I have a Masters degree in music theory from the University of Maryland. I got A's in all of my undergraduate aural skills ear-training classes. I also got A's in graduate ear-training classes at the University of North Texas. I have taught undergraduate 1st & 2nd semester ear-training/aural skills courses at the University level. Ear-training is a good way to understand what you are playing. I include it in teaching my piano lessons. I think it's a lot of fun & my students enjoy it.
I have a Bachelors degree in music w/ a piano concentration & a Master's degree in music theory. I have taught theory for many years, including the beginning levels (including fundamentals) through advanced.

I have two recitals every year & I enter students in the Plano Music Teachers Association fall festival & sonatina festival & in the state theory test. I like teaching, people & music very much. I teach in my apartment & I also travel to students homes & teach in the home. My resume is available upon request. I look forward to hearing from you!
I have a Bachelors degree in music & a Masters degree in Music theory. In my undergraduate career I took courses in sight-singing & ear-training. I taught undergraduate freshman & sophomore music theory in the core curriculum in music theory at the University of North Texas for 3 years as a graduate teaching fellow (this included all aspects of theory, including sight-singing). I have experience in teaching both the "minor-la" system of sight-singing & the movable do method. I am comfortable with either one, although I prefer minor-la.
