With over 40 years in the classroom, I have worked with students at many levels. I still attend professional meetings to make sure that I have sharp skills to handle today's curriculum demands. While the state of Texas demands that all students study physics, the decision makers have not provided a path for the teachers to understand the issues and struggles that some students face in their study of physics. I have continually attended workshops and instructional programs to make me better at my mission: all students can learn physics and chemistry. I have met many of the textbooks authors and consider them friends. I find these contacts invaluable in my curriculum strategies for students success.
