I have taught physics and math at the community college, trade school, and high school levels (off and on) for 12 years. I have also tutored middle and high school math and physics.

I strongly believe that there is no such thing as a stupid question in Math or Physics. It always takes at least a little knowledge and will to speak up. The worst that can happen is that a student turns away and never asks another question. Every time I answer a question, I also attempt to include limits of usage, most common student errors and some historical references. I try to make it a practice of inspiring, while helping.

Physics

Physics is my primary subject. I have taught Physics from the high school level, up to sophomore level for more than 5 years total. I have also acted as a teaching assistant for graduate-level physics classes. I will tutor anyone who needs help with physics and physical science, at any level.

Differential Equations

I have been helping students with the undergraduate differential equations off and on since 1996. Over the past five years, in particular, I have had multiple opportunities to refresh and upgrade my skills which were required for my dissertation work. I should be able to help any student taking the undergraduate-level differential equations (D.E.) course.

C++

I have worked with C as my primary programming language since high school in 1990. Over the past couple of years, I was forced to upgrade to C++ for translation/command-line programs to process data for my dissertation work. I have reviewed course information from SMU 1342, and I believe I should be able to help any student in a first-level c++ class.

MATLAB

I have been working with MATLAB off and on since 3.0 (in 1991). Over the past five years, in particular, I have had a chance to upgrade my skills, program for my dissertation work, and continue professional endeavors on the side. I should be able to help any student learning MATLAB.
