Hello, my name is Jesse. I graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Behavior Analysis. I spent two years as an in-class and an in-home autism teacher. From there I attended an alternative certification program and received my TX teaching certificate in Generalist EC-6. This certificate certifies me to teach all subjects from pre-k through 6th grade. I also received my TX teaching certificate for Special Education pre-k through 12th grade, as well an my ESL certification pre-k through 12th grade. I am currently a 4th grade writing and science teacher, as well as a 5th grade baseball/softball coach.
My tutoring strategies begin with an assessment of your students strengths and weaknesses in each area of concern. Based on the assessment I will make a "timeline" of the weaknesses for us to begin to tackle each session, as well as reinforcing one of your students strengths each day. As a tutor, I help students with different types of strategies for their problem areas. These strategies may include recalling techniques, flash cards, picture and/or word association or any other strategy that will help your individual student succeed.
