Thank you for considering me as your tutor. Let me tell you a little bit about myself...
I hold a B.A. in education from Cedarville University and a Th.M in historical theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. My long term goals are to pursue a Ph.D. and teach at a university.
During college I had field experiences teaching 7-12th graders at three different schools, but I am comfortable teaching students of all ages. I believe in "hands on" education where the students are active in the learning process. To me, education is more than just the acquisition of knowledge. It's a dynamic give and take between the teacher and student. When done well education is fun and engaging because it is tailored to fit the needs of the student. I believe that each student learns differently, and a teacher should be able to adjust his or her teaching style to the needs of the student.
My passion for education gives me great patience when working with students. One of my greatest joys is helping students set and exceed their educational goals. My organizational skills, clear communication, and teaching style make me especially effective at this task. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!
